Don`t compare - Teil 2

It is very important to remember, that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not a racist conflict, like it was the Holocaust – the Holocaust was not at all a conflict, how can you compare?! BUT it doesen`t mean the Israelis are not racist. There are very, very, very racist. The orthodox Jews hate the Zionist Jews; the Zionist Jews hate the Arabs. The Arabs hate at all the Jews. The muslim Arabs hate the Christian Arabs. The Europeans hate the Muslims – and the Jews! – and the whole world hate the Germans. BUT you hate to remember that even Germans are human beings, just like the Belgians – but lets not compare. Of couse, not all Germans are Nazis. BUT not all Arabs are terrorists, BUT some of them do bomb themselves killing innocent women and children BUT also the Israeli army is killing women and children, BUT the terrorists are hiding behind families, BUT it is because they feel they have no choice, BUT the Israelis too feel they have no choice, BUT there is always a choice. Even the Nazis had a choice. And also today the Germans have the choice to look behind their façade of a perfect democracy where xenophobia and Anti-Semitism are raising their ugly heads, but please, please, don`t compare.

Now, let`s finally talk a little bit about the Holocaust; when we talk about the Holocaust of the Jews, you can not avoid asking where all the Germans were. If you will go and ask a German where was he in the Holocaust he will say he did not know of it. What do you mean you didn`t know? How could you not know? The Germans always said they can smell a Jew from a distance, so now, surrounded by clouds of burnt Jews they lost their scent of smell all of a sudden? How could you not know? They recognize Bach or Wagner by the first note, but the steps of millions of people marching to their death through the village, their screams while being shot at the forest – that didn`t disturb their “Schlafstunde” – NO! They “didn`t know”
